Three days ,three posts and no prizes for guessing what might be the reason , of course Indian Cricket Team doing badly . I accept that Indian team has done very bad but why are people all our the Nation going mad, why are some people ready to pelt the players with stones and some other kinda weapons. If you think cricket is like religion over this part of the world then you should even accept that players are gods of that religion and i dare say that no one pelts stones @ their gods .
For the people who think that cricketers are not gods they are mere humans then you should even accept that humans do make mistakes and our team did mistakes. This kind of behavior is uncalled for .They were not involved in some crime , they just lost a game of cricket, fans should understand that. Supporting them when they are in a high and not accepting them when they are very low.
Please respect our heroes ,they gave their everything for Indian cricket, players like Sachin,Rahul,Sourav they all have rendered their service to the Nation for more than 10 yrs . so please keep faith in your/our heroes , if not today they will do well tomorrow.
I guess this is one of the worst days in INDIAN cricket.. we lost 2 Australia in the finals of 2003 world cup on this very day . After 4 years on very this day we lost one of the most important match against Srilanka which has more r less thrown us out of the world cup @ the qualifying stage itself [:(]
Still then is some hope left if Bermuda wins over Bangladesh we can still make it 2 the next stage..I know this is the optimum level of optimism but ... cant help it i cant see Indian going out of the World cup this early..
Common Bermuda You are the hope for us ....... plz do urself and India a big favour by beating bangladesh. This is what zillion people of this nation hopeing ....
India are all but out of the World Cup after losing to Sri Lanka by 69 runs in their concluding Group B match in Port of Spain, Trinidad, on Friday.
I have nothing to say lost Friday nights sleep ( nothing new ) lost the passion to see the whole world cup only bcoz 11 passionless players with no attitude to play aggressive cricket @ all .we have been boasting Our batting line up that its one of the best batting line up in this world cup, ya true only on papers not when it comes 2 matches, our team has three players who have scored more than 10,000 runs in International cricket were not able 2 bat 50 overs twice in three matches against two teams which come from sub-continent,this has been dismal performance from the Indian cricket team . The loss of the Indian team is unbearable bcoz zillions of people might have glued to the Television sets to see India win , but the Players played as though they are playing for some toffee not trophy .Million hope sank when Indian team lost the match against SriLanka who played very well 2 beat every one in the group . I never found Indian Team Showing any kinda passion for the game even after loosing to teams like Bangladesh. Indian team is expected to beat teams like Bangladesh at least , even after loosing to Bangladesh the whole nation supported the team expecting them to win against Srilanka, but our so called great batting line was not even able to chase a moderate score of 255.
I do not understand at all, most of the team being senior specialists , with volumes of records and stats which can be remembered only if u have an external memory card other than your brain . Indian team is like Real Madrid, all stars but no guarantee of a victory over any side,wish in cricket the teams could trade /import/export the players like in league football, BCCI being the richest board and members who are very good at trade could have easily brought all players with match winning capabilities and sold over sum hyped gods, but who would buy them any way,a team like real should do that i guess [;)].
Not a single player i can name who raised to the occasion and stand up and say I will do this for my country and zillions of passionate cricket fanatics back home ,if not for my self. If u cant sustain pressure and expectations of billion people you don't deserve to be in the side,who ever it may be Sachin, Sourav,Sewag or for that matter any member in team.I cant express my feelings how sad I am that India has not reached the next stage of world cup,Idon't see Bermuda beating Bangladesh tomorrow even if they beat them,Indians don't deserve to go into the next stage.Indians should not take further part in the world cup , i guess Bangladesh deserves much more credit who portrayed much more passion enthusiasm, spirit,fight,aggression which is/was lacking in the Indian side ... " I know that it is only a game of cricket , but for me it is much more than that."
What a day it has been [:O] This day In cricket history is very significant i suppose two supposedly weak teams namely Bangladesh(though they are test playing nation) and Ireland made life uneasy for the other test playing nations in the world cup.Ireland has Knocked the 92 World Cup champions Pakistan Out of the world cup 07 in Jamaica and other big upset is Bangladesh cruised to Victory over so called mighty INDIANS , making it hard for India to enter the next stage [:(]. Supposedly called Minnows have not only stunned Pakistan and India but The whole world by beating India and Pakistan respectively If a poll was made before the world cup 99 out of 100 people would have predicted top 8 teams to get into super8s. Big stars made open statements that minnows like Ireland , Scotland and other teams should not be playing world cup as this would make this game boring and this would result in loss of interest among spectators i guess today their mouths have been shut . As am an a passionate Indian cricket fan i expect India to do well against all teams and definitely against teams like Bangladesh, but they dint ,they were trying to show that a cricket ball has emotions, if they hit it hard, it might cry , apart from Yuvi , Zaheer and Munaf none were aggressive [:(]while batiing and need less to say about fielding it was and it will be pathetic . B'Desh played very well and deserved to win the match but on the other hand Indians performance was below average .Todays loss over Bangladesh has made our chances to enter the next stage very difficult , we have to win every match now to get into the next round , even if we win both our matches still then its no guarantee that we will go in to the second round thats kind of impact that todays result has brought in to the qualifying stages of WC-07. Ireland did the inevitable by beating pakistan on Saint Patricks day .Ireland who played very well in against Zimb to tie the match were more than brilliant today with the ball and particularly with their fielding [:)].Labelled as minnows, underdogs they have shown a lot of character to beat Pakistan. I would have enjoyed their win more if India would have won the match. the way they bowled out Pakistan for a poultry total of 133 shows how well they have bowled though while batting there were some hiccups but @ the end they managed a victory over a Test nation which was certain to make it to the next round, though Pakistan was lingered because many of their top players were not available for this WC Coz of some reason or the other were not expected to that well in the tournament but no one expected them 2 b knocked out of the world cup this early . I know that in sports, winning and loosing is all part of sport but loosing with out giving a fight was very disappointing , energy and spirit in the field was very much lacking, if this continues there may be a upset again on 19th of this month against Bermuda , Pakistan has already been knocked out hope its not India's Turn [:(].On the other hand Ireland may be well in the course of enjoying a extended holiday in Carribean islands[:)] Before I end my post let us come together and wish Team India for their other up coming matches .... huha INDIA ayya INDIA [:P]
