One of the simple pleasures of modern day life for youth and youngsters is web-surfing. Although Web–surfing has got some positive impacts on life, there is a very narrow gap between using Internet casually for few minutes and being glued to the web for hours together.
Social networking has been one of the reasons for the youth to stick to their machines. They surf continuously for long hours and when they want to put off the machine, they realize that they have done nothing but viewing strangers profile or reading some arbit gossip.
Many people find the Social Networking Sites and chat rooms to be the ideal place to socialize with others because of its face less medium and effortless ways to find others with similar interests.
I have been a victim of Social Networking few years back. I used to stick to the PC just surfing and scanning profiles of people, whom I found interesting. There have been days where I used to communicate with my friends on web after having a conversation with him /her in person or over the phone. To be very honest we loved the virtual life we were living then.
Youth of modern day need to understand that, there is more in life than spending umpteen no of hours in front of system. Web is a very good medium to acquire knowledge , but it aint the only source , by spending hours in front of the system ,today youth are missing the simple pleasures of life.
