This days we get 2 c the hot new in all the private tv channels .. that is the reservation scenario!! the fu**in arjun singh who is 6oyrs old tryin 2 make some fuC*in changes in d system of education!!!!!!!!through out this month i have been gettin frwds plz read this with this subject anti reservation..so many ppl r downcoz of hunger strike and the media is nt telecastin ne thing of this so plz fwd this mail 2 as many ppl u know and make this hunger strike a success..... A measure to increase reservation in centrally funded educational institutions from 22.5% to 49.5% for SC/STs and OBCs. Basically 1 out of every 2 seats in several institutions all over the country will be decided soley on the basis of caste and not merit. This includes reputed institutions such as the IITs, IIMs and AIIMS etc. And this reservation is in addition to already existing quotas in several institues. What this can mean?As politicians continue to manipulate and play caste politics for cheap votes, the country is further bifurcated on caste lines and with merit going for a toss with millions of students' futures being affected. And even after such measures over the past so many decades, it is a proven fact that economically backward/really deserving people do not benefit inspite of a quota for them; it is mostly the rich creamy layer which benefits. AND OF COURSE THE POLITICIANS WHICH IS VERY EVIDENT IN THIS CASE. There are calls and efforts to introduce the same in private industry for jobs and at some point, it may extend to schools also if these manipulative efforts continue. i am noway aginst the obcs but i am totally aginst the castbased reseravtion system in India. Now what exactly is the government trying to do ???????? Instead of giving a burden on its exchequer its playing with the future of thousands of students belonging to the General Category. Instead of giving them economic support, fee waivers and scholarships it wants to appease them with something that will cost students their future.... Reservation aimed at more than 50%...1330 seats going to be out of question for General Candidates in IITs and 210 in IIMs...half the Passouts from these esteemed institutions will be those who never fought for their careers...they'll be beggars who got it as Alms.. my go on this issue!!! Such reservation has never helped the weeker section. Weeker or no weeker need to be identified on the basis of financial strength and NOT the caste. I have upteen number of examples where financially rich low caste people have availed reservation and other govt helps which they dont need and there are many high caste financially poor who instead deserved that help. Give them opportunities, not seats. there is too much politics in education and too little education in politics.. this day will defnitely come if this keeps on contenuing few ppl will come and say tht iam an NRI.. this does not mean Non Resident Indian,but it means tht Non Reserved Indian!! i have done nothin other than postin a blog an joining 2 -3 anti resrevation forums in orkut and sighning some petitons...nothin other than tht .. i hope tht nxt tym when i will b postin a blog abt reservation system, i hope ter wont b 49.5%reservation for obcs in institutes..salutin all d ppl who r revoltin aginst the system!!! i conclude my post by sayin this..... reservation system sucks.. badly....
